About Bill McLaren
Bill McLaren is a true veteran of the markets having started in 1965, in New York as a securities analyst for Goodbody & Co. In 1968 Bill moved to Stern Bros. & Co. and started a division advising institutional clients. During 1977 Bill started publishing his research findings and since that time has been quoted on a regular basis in most newspapers and financial publications around the world. During 1986 Bill operated a Hot-Line service for nine months that produced an amazing 400% profit. Also, in 1986 Bill published "Gann Made Easy" which has become the classic text on Gann Theory. During the past three years Bill has offered some of his analysis via an internet site, www.mclarenreport.com.au, as well as his weekly forecasts on CNBC Australia, Europe, Asia and USA every Monday.

Bill has made profitable forecasts to the precise hour and exact price, so much so that his forecasts are becoming legendary. In April 1997 Bill forecast the All Ordinaries would blowoff up into a top on July 3rd and stated that during the whole move up the index would never correct back more than three days at any time. He also called for the following October high, the following bear run and gave the price of the low to the exact tick. During the first week in July this year, Bill warned that the Australian stock market could be rolling over into a bear campaign. In addition, Bill forecast the high in the NASDAQ on March 10th ,2000 and the beginning of a bear market, as well as virtually all the subsequent highs and lows. When the index was trading 4200, he stated the index would see 2,000 before it saw 4500 again. Bill also published a forecast for the first nine months of the year, which has been remarkable in both price and time. That forecast missed the low by 177 points and twelve days, made nine months in advance.

This web site for over three years consisted as one page which listed the dates of the market reports for the previous year and a current report for the week. A click on those dates would bring up the report written on that date. The reason for keeping posted the previous reports served two objectives. Along with an application of the analysis, many of the reports contained lessons of instruction that were derived from Bill's 36 years of trading.

Since the inception of this website in 1998 its intent has always been as a service and an aid to Bill's students. It has meant to be an accessible and on-going educational supplement. This new site, other than the commercial application, hold to those same objectives that is to further enhance the knowledge of investors and traders.
